John Francome is one of the most recognizable names in the world of Horse Racing and he has been a regular part of the Channel 4 Racing Team for the Live Racing and the Morning Line for a number of years now. Francome was a hugely successful National Hunt jockey winning the championship on no less than seven occasions's before retiring in 1985. Francome also had a brief spell as a Trainer so is more than qualified to comment on a number of the main issues within the sport whilst also picking out one or two winners for punters.

Francome is one of the experts on the Channel 4 Racing Team and is a mainstay of the team each Saturday, he can often be found alongside Jim McGrath in the box by the side of the parade ring. The pair talk punters through the race as well as giving the low down on each runner on the card as well, Francome highlights how the horses are turned out whilst giving a brief overview of their chances.

Francome is a keen author as well having written several novels over the past few years and manages to balance that with his duties on Channel 4, Francome rarely misses a race day on a Saturday for Channel 4 while he is a regular on course for the channel during the Cheltenham Festival each season. Francome is also a mainstay of the Morning Line every Saturday morning on Channel 4 as they break down each of the big races from the course ahead of a great day of action.
